What is the Guernsey Cheshire Home?
We are a charity providing individual care and support for adults living with severe physical disabilities such as multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, stroke and spinal injury.
Each person has their own specially-adapted and equipped room.
Even though they may have very high dependency needs, the care they receive ensures that they enjoy as much independence as possible, making their own choices and maintaining control of their own lives.
We also provide support through day visits and respite services. This improves the lives of many individuals and families in the Island.
Why we need your support
As a charity we are completely dependent on donations. We receive no direct funding from the Guernsey government or Leonard Cheshire Disability in the UK.
It is costly to provide this level of dedicated support. We need your help. You can support the Guernsey Cheshire Home in any one of the following ways:
- Give us your time - volunteer to spend a few hours with us
- Work in, donate to, or buy from our charity shop
- Sponsor equipment/training
- Sponsor our fund-raising events
- Get yourself sponsored to swim at Cobo on Boxing Day
- Make an annual subscription by post or standing order
- Make a bequest
- Send a donation by post
- Donate money for items on the Home‘s ‘Wish List’
